Zane Lowe To Leave BBC Radio 1 For Apple In March | Music News

Zane Lowe’s enthusiastic character is to leave BBC Radio 1 to work for Apple in the US. Zane was the presenter of the weekday evening new music programme on BBC Radio 1 from 7pm to 9pm, Mondays to Thursdays. Annie Mac who worked with Zane as a broadcasting assistant at the start of her career will be taking over from him. Zane Lowe certainly made a positive impact on the British music media, always expressing his passion for all new and current music, either whilst on air presenting the Glastonbury Festival on the BBC, or of course on his radio show. As a music journalist, he made headlining interviews, with the likes of Jay Z, Kanye West, and Eminem. Annie Mac is a fine replacement for Lowe, but his passion will be missed.
