2 Chainz’ latest album, Collegrove, heavily featuring Lil Wayne, is still going somewhat strong in sales. Today, the rapper releases a video for one of the solo songs on the project, “100 Joints”.
The track is dark and foreboding, and not long after the start the rattling drum machine comes in. Intermittent clapping drums then accentuate the flow. The lyrics are equally dark and foreboding, though there is a sense of swagger in them, too.
2 Chainz, formally known as Tity Boi, does a good job in the video of trying to bring awareness to hatred towards the Muslim American community. The song itself, though, actually has little to do with those visuals. The mood created works, though.
