Pharrell Williams already debuted a bold yellow bathrobe emblazoned with a sparkly Chanel insignia in November, announcing his partnership with the French fashion house. But now he has officially debuted his full Chanel collaboration titled ‘Chanel Pharrell‘, and the whole collaboration includes co-branded detailing and embroidery and sequin logos.
Stand-out pieces in the collection include the previously-teased yellow bathrobe, other more brightly-coloured hoodies and unisex, rainbow palette tees. Other key pieces include the range of accessories, which spans oversized shopper bags, ‘Chanel Pharrell’ diamond jewellery and bucket hats. The collection also covers sneakers, with hand-drawn text and doodles, as well as co-branded loafers and sliders.
With street art at the core of the capsule, the music maestro has taken the brand’s signature ‘CC’ and ‘N°5’ logos and reimagined them as graffiti and embellished motifs. You can find the logos embroidered or painted on the hoodies, t-shirts and many other pieces of the collection.
For the launch of this capsule collection, Pharrell has released a behind-the-scenes video of the collection in which he discusses the idea of gender-fluidity, meeting Karl Lagerfeld and the importance of the number 5 as an influence on the collection. Check out the video here below.
The Chanel-Pharrell collection will be available exclusively in Seoul on March 28 at the opening of the new Chanel boutique, and then in certain Chanel shops around the world from April 4. Have a look at some of the collection below.
