Sam Brockington Releases New Single ‘Nothern Slang / This Time’ | Music News

 

English singer, songwriter and performer Sam Brockington has just released his new single “Northern Slang / This Time”. It was recently played on BBC Introducing, and the artist is also known for his singles “Follow”, “See Anemone” and”Peace Of Mind”.

 

Sam Brockington is originally from Devon but he started his songwriting career in Melbourne, Australia as a street musician. This early career in the city has left its mark on his alternative indie music. His sounds are also influenced by folk and artists like Matt Corby from whom he draws inspiration.

 

On his return to the UK and moving to Bristol, he performed at a string of festivals including Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds. According to BBC Introducing, Sam has “fantastic vocal talent with enormous potential” and AWAL says of him, that he’s “conquering the grind to find success with over 1 million Spotify streams”.

 

“Northern Slang / This Time” is a love song about the ways each person acts and thinks that make them unique. Sam’s voice go hand in hand perfectly with the instrumentation and the melody, creating a very beautiful harmony. He was inspired by artists like Matt Corby and Fleet Floxes for the style of the music that uses layered harmonies.
