For almost three decades of designing and programming all the arrangements of electronic dance music as Rico Friebe, for this latest single set to release, there were 140 songs over the past 9 months to get to the emotional, uplifting single of “Keep On Dreaming”.
Beginning his career in 2005 as a self-taught guitarist, trained pianist, composer and music producer, Rico Puestel became established within the genre of electronic music and has followed up till now with hundreds of releases under long-lasting careers thus far.
Within all of Rico’s songs thus far, there’s a built something on the surface with many substructures, throughout his catalogue, which should be open for interpretation.
2022 was the year he presented himself as Rico Friebe with his debut album, Jenni, which holds the honest truths of personal struggles and development. As well as releasing The Silver Sessions and an EP The M. Sessions were released in September of that year.
Following this; we have the upcoming release of his latest single “Keep On Dreaming”; which is subjected to the empowering feeling of realising after 36 years, Rico Friebe “finally found his voice”. Followed a more pop sound for his latest single-in between his predominant piano and guitar-driven albums.
As well as this, Rico goes into further depth when describing the meaning of his late single; “it’s about interacting with another person through dreams asking the question; is that dream as real as reality?”.
