ITV2 Revives ‘Supermarket Sweep’ As Rylan Takes Over From Dale Winton | TV News

TV star Rylan Clark-Neal will present the sparkling reboot of Dale Winton’s classic game show Supermarket Sweep. The new trailer of the reboot has been launched, teasing the fans with these words: ITV2 are reopening the supermarket like no other. Check it out”.

The famous show, which was famously presented by Dale Winton, ran from 1993 to 2001. It was revived a year after, and ran until 2007. Now, Rylan’s smile is the perfect fit for taking over the role in this show that will combine elements from Winton’s time with modern games. The series will run later this year from Monday to Friday.

In the trailer, you can see the contestants frantically running through the supermarket to pick items from the shelves or crashing their trolleys into aisles, making the food fall down on the floor. Even a contestant hugging the presenter. Let’s say that the new addition to ITV’s programming is a bit chaotic and hilarious!

The reboot is an occasion to pay homage to Dale Winton, who sadly died last year aged 62. “The most gutting thing when Dale died was I never had the opportunity to ask him about it”, said Rylan. He also confirmed that the revival show will have a tribute to the former presenter.
