A Closer Look At Puma’s 50th Anniversary Suede Classic ‘B-Boy’ | Fashion News

The famous German multinational company Puma, that designs and manufactures athletic and casual footwear, have released the Suede Classic B-Boy, to celebrates 50 years of being a style icon.

Indeed this brand new pair of kicks with their iconic design are out and available on sale at select Puma retailers and online now. This line has two different models consisting of two Suede colorways, black and red. Both shoes feature the signature leather side stripe, sleek white soles and 1968 lace tags to commemorate the Suede’s original introduction.

The German brand announced this anniversary collection almost a month ago, choosing the track & field athlete, Tommie Smith, to be the face of the campaign. This is because in 1968 at the Summer Games in Mexico City, he broke the 200m world record in Puma spikes, who then walked to the victory stand carrying a single Puma Suede on his left hand.
