Ab-Soul – 47 Bars | New Music

Ab-Soul has barely made a peep since the release of his third album These Days last June, but the black-lipped pastor couldn’t bite his tongue any longer now, having taken to Twitter today with the message “I might get dropped from the label for this 1, but f**k it lol…“, with a link to new track “47 Bars”. The Alchemist provides a spooky, other-worldly backdrop, and Ab-Soul begins by tipping his hat to the Pro Era crew, the hip hop collective that’s within closest reach of TDE’s level, respectfully observing “we in the area of the Pros“. He goes on to down-size everyone else around him, all merely spitting verses while Soul has moved on to bigger and more important things “tryin’ to crack the macrocosms of the universe“. He then bluntly reminds “Top Dawg mastered this craftsmanship“. If that isn’t a truth then nothing is.
