Adele Is Not Ok With Donald Trump Using Her Music For His Campaigns | Music News
While candidate for US presidency Donald Trump is a true Adele fan, it seems the singer is not so fond of him herself. The Republican frontrunner has not only been seen having fun at Adele’s concerts, but he’s also been using some of her songs as part of his campaigns.
As “Rolling in the Deep” and “Skyfall” have often been played at his rallies, Adele’s fans were quick to express their dissatisfaction via Twitter, some of them even claiming that Trump was in that way “ruining” their favourite songs. And while people were getting angrier, no one had basically given Trump the permission to use these songs for his political purposes in the first place.
But now, Adele’s spokesperson has set the record straight. “Adele has not given permission for her music to be used for any political campaigning,” he told The Independent. Although she has not spoken about this herself, this statement definitely gives the idea that she’s not happy at all… Too bad, you could have had it all, Donald!
