Akurei unveils his new single title “Floating” featuring Nico Ghost. The song is now available on Soundcloud below.
The Australian artist and Nico Ghost are long-time friends and their complicity is clearly felt on this track. Speaking about the collaboration, Akurei said, “It was really fun because we were living together and hanging out almost every day. We mainly ate a lot of Hummus and watched a lot of ‘Peep Show’ but we did manage to put this track together.”
“Floating” is a mix of electronic and R&B vibes. The melody is original and catchy. They lyrics are a bit dark but it makes the song more interesting. The arrangement is very nice, the rap part and the melodic-electronic parts are perfectly connected. Speaking about the song, he said: “Floating is a song about trying to fall asleep after waking in the middle of the night. Lyrically, it covers a sleepless night trying to find some form of closure or clarity.”
