Alessia Cara is back again and she’s released the music video of her new single “Growing Pains” from her upcoming album The Pains of Growing.
“Growing Pains” is a pop song laced with R&B influences and it was written by Cara, Oak and Andrew “Pop” Wansel. It is about overcoming and the problems that arise when we grow up. It could also be about a heartbreak and the way in which you try to overcome it. In an interview, she spoke on her anxiety about transitioning from a teen to a young adult in the public eye.
The music video starts with Alessia lying on a circular floor with flowers. The cloth that is in the floor is elevated in which she walks under, surrounded by with masked people. It also features her being manipulated into different situations by dancers before being submerged in water.
