Alexandra Daddario Joins Simon Pegg In ‘Lost Transmissions’ | Film News

Alexandra Daddario (Baywatch, San Andreas) has joined the cast of the indie drama Lost Transmissions. The film is set to follow Hannah, who discovers that her respected record producer friend, Theo, has lapsed in his medication for schizophrenia.

She then begins to rally a group of friends and acquaintances to help commit Theo to a psychiatric facility, although she has to chase him as he attempts to outruns his delusions through the glamour and grit of Los Angeles. The logline states: “From the highs of rock ‘n’ roll to rock bottom, it’s a story of the unsung heroes behind the hits”.

Theo will be played by Simon Pegg, who’s currently riding a high after the box office success of Mission: Impossible – Fallout. Also a part of the cast are Juno Temple, Rosanna Arquette and Bria Vinaite, the breakout star of The Florida Project. The film will be the first feature film for writer-director Katharine O’Brien.

This will be the latest role for Daddario in what is looking like a busy schedule, as she’s also set to star in the mystery drama We Have Always Lived In The House, the thriller Nomis alongside Henry Cavill, the Tokyo-based drama I Am Not A Bird, as well as San Andreas 2.
