Alexandra Daddario To Star In William Olsson’s ‘I Am Not A Bird’ | Film News

Alexandra Daddario is reportedly signing on to join dramatic thriller I Am Not A Bird, under the direction of Swedish filmmaker William Olsson. Catherine Hanrahan has written the screenplay, based on her own debut novel Lost Girls And Love Hotels. Lauren Mann and Lawrence Inglee produce.

The story centers around a young woman, Margaret, who courts danger on an alcohol filled night. “Haunted by memories of her twin brother’s descent into madness,” she finds herself in dive bars and hotels, falling in love with a handsome Japanese gangster, Kazu. Any hope for happiness, however, is threatened by a killer in the city which forces Margaret to find herself in haste.

Daddario is known for starring in True Detective. She has also collaborated with Dwayne Johnson on both Paramount’s Baywatch remake, and San Andreas, which announced its second installment earlier this year.
