Alternative Hip-Hop And Folk Artist Lillian Blue Makin Shares New Single ‘Let’s Never Stop Growin Up’

Queer alternative hip-hop and folk artist Lillian Blue Makin has revealed their new single titled “Let’s Never Stop Growin Up”.

Starting the released of their own music in February 2020, the Toronto-born singer have successfully gathered 950,000 streams on Spotify with their three singles released so far “Cover Under Comfort”, “Fall 6 Feet”, and “Golden Lies” along “High Tides” featuring Eddisun.

The 20-year-old Lillian has built their music world around young love and personal evolution with juxtaposing of country folk, laid back rapping and spoken word influences.

Co-produced by Kiera Cousins and Lillian Blue Makin, “Let’s Never Stop Growin Up” is the second track launched this year by the artist. The single put under spotlight the difficulties of growing up, between the excitement to enter the adulthood and the responsibilities which come along.

Mixing love and hate, the track brings dynamic and hold school hip hop vibes with Lilian’s special touch.

Speaking about the realisation of the song, Lillian states “One thing I love about this track is that it is tied melodically and contextually to both the intro and outro of the whole project. It’s something I am really excited for people to hear once the project is released in Spring”.

From their personal method of song writing, different approaches of the natural process of growing up appear. About this, they add, “For example the intro takes on quite a naive approach, whilst “Let’s Never Stop Growin’ Up” is written from more of a learning perspective, specific to the last few years of my life, and finally the outro incorporates my community as they speak on what it means to them to grow up.

By sharing a universal message, the single can make everyone relate, old and young, to the fact of growing up because there is no end of this process.
