Amanda Seyfried In Talks To Star In Netflix Horror-Thriller ‘Things Heard & Seen’ | Film News

 

Mama Mia star Amanda Seyfried is in negotiation with Netflix for a lead role in their upcoming supernatural thriller.

 

Titled Things Heard & Seen, it is an adaptation of the book All Things Cease To Appear by Elizabeth Brundage. According to sources, the tone is similar to Netflix’s acclaimed series The Haunting of Hill House.

 

Thus, to continue in their horror movie mood (Bird Box, Gerald’s Game), the streaming service have hired Shari Springer Berman and Robert Puccini to write the script and direct the film. The duo is known for American Splendor.

 

The horror-movie synopsis talks about a young couple who move to a farm near a small town in upstate New York. Unfortunately, their new house is cursed by the tragic murders of its former owners, and haunted secret peels away to uncover other. Adding all of things, their marriage seems to have a sinister darkness of its own.

 

Seyfried will play the wife. The actress known for starring as Cosette in the 2012 film adaptation Les Miserables has already played in several horror movies. And this will be her second recent horror project as she has You Should Have Left, featuring Kevin Bacon, in the can.

 

We don’t know the date of the film premiere, but the production is slated to begin in Hudson Valley, New York next month.
