“Looping” is the latest offer from ambience artist, An Imaginal Space. The title sums up the piece to a tee. It contains a brief guitar sequence, and some layered synthesisers. These repeat and overlap. The whole sequence itself is ominous, like a good creepy score in a horror movie. Things are occasionally pulled out of place just to have that jarring effect, like when you know the presence of danger in your gut. It is all very clever, how it comes together. Though it is looping indeed, in essence it never gets repetitious or boring, because of the atmosphere it creates.
