Andrew Lincoln To Leave ‘The Walking Dead’ In Season 9 | TV News

Zombie hunter Rick Grimes might have to take a break from fighting the undead, as it is being reported that the lead actor Andrew Lincoln won’t be returning to The Walking Dead after season 9, which is currently in production.

Even though viewers have yet to find out how the character will be written off the show, fans must get prepared to bid farewell to the iconic character for he will be exiting the hit AMC horror series before its season finale.

According to multiple sources, the lead duties will be taken over by soon-to-be dad Norman Reedus, who plays the part of beloved character Daryl Dixon.

Lincoln may not be the only actor of the post-apocalyptic drama to depart in the foreseeable future, given that several other cast members are in their final contracted years, including Lauren Cohan and Black Panther star Danai Gurira.
