New York-based singer and songwriter Angela Sclafani recently debuted her brand new single “Write Me Down” on Valentine’s Day, on the back of a live show at Rockwood Music Hall. Now available to stream on Spotify and Soundcloud, the single is a superb piano ballad backed by lush string arrangements, over which Sclafani sings beautifully and intimately about the end of her first great love.
Drawing her inspiration from the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Carole King, Fiona Apple, and Stevie Nicks, Angela Sclafani began writing music at a young age, and with her soulful vocals and compelling lyrics, has quickly carved out a unique style and niche for herself. She describes her records as personal, vulnerable and intimate, and we are very inclined to agree with her. A new EP is on the way from Sclafani, but in the meantime, you have to get into “Write Me Down” below.
