Anna Kendrick & Paul Feig To Re-Team For Romcom Anthology ‘Love Life’ | TV News

A Simple Favor star and director are teaming up for another project. Star Anna Kendrick and director Paul Feig will reunite for a romantic comedy anthology series on the upcoming WarnerMedia streaming service.

The show is titled Love Life, and will be a 10-episode half-hour series. It will be about “the journey from first love to last love, and how the people we’re with along the way make us into who we are when we finally end up with someone forever”. That’s according to Lionsgate Television, who will produce the show.

The show will reportedly follow a different character’s quest for love in each season, with each episode telling the story of one of their relationships. Kendrick will star in the first series and also act as executive producer alongside creator Sam Boyd. Boyd has also written the pilot and will direct. It’s unclear whether Feig will direct any episodes, or if he is just onboard as a producer.

There are very few details about WarnerMedia’s streaming competitor. The platform is expected to launch in late 2019. Love Life is one of the first series ordered, after the announced animated Gremlins reboot.

WarnerMedia is going to need all the help/content they can get if they want to seriously compete with Netflix and Disney+. Love Life has the potential to be a hit, and Kendrick is a very likeable presence. It was a different time, but it only took Netflix a few original hit shows to get things rolling. Perhaps Love Life can do just that for Warner.
