‘Archer’ Returns For Seventh Season In March | TV News
The release date for the seventh season of FX’s hit animated show Archer has been announced and will premiere on March 31, 2016. The cast includes the voice talents of H. John Benjamin, Aisha Tyler, Judy Greer, Chris Parnell, Lucky Yates, Jessica Walter and Amber Nash.
The show centers around Sterling Archer, the somewhat annoying, morally questionable, smooth talking super spy who, along with his co-workers, carries out various espionage missions for his mothers spy agency ISIS (International Secret Intelligence service, though the name was later dropped due to its similarity to the Islamist group).
The previous season saw the team in a similar situation as the one that started season fives Vice story-line in which the spy agency is disbanded by the government, goes rogue and becomes an international drug cartel. This time they were blacklisted by the CIA for ruining a delicate rescue mission and in the final episode, Archer shared that he had some thoughts on what to do with the agency, which will most likely be the focus of the new season.
