Ariana Grande – Thank U, Next | Music Video

On Friday, American Pop and R&B artist Ariana Grande has debuted the music video for her latest hit single “Thank U, Next”. The Hannah Lux Davis-directed visual makes multiple references to classic teen comedies, including 13 Going On 30, Bring It On, Legally Blonde, and Mean Girls.

After the big release, the music video has surpassed over 47 million views within 24 hours and is currently trending at No.1 on YouTube.

In her single, Grande sings about her past relationships and what they have taught her. However, she does not hold any anger against her famous ex-boyfriends, such as Big Sean and Pete Davidson but, on the contrary, thanks them for the experience and the lessons she has learned during their time together.

The visual begins with Grande portraying the role of Regina George from Mean Girls, with the iconic Burn Book in her hands. She performs at a Christmas talent show where her mother, played by Kris Jenner, films her.

Grande then plays the role of Torrance Shipman from a Bring It On scene and then eventually transforms into the classic Legally Blonde’s Elle Woods.

The debut single has been at No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks and now, the relationship-themed visual has become the most streamed and watched premiere music video on YouTube. Check out the video below.
