‘Arrow’ Storyline Featuring Harley Quinn Altered Thanks To ‘Suicide Squad’ | TV News

With the comic-book adaptation series being a successful hit for many viewers, people were looking forward to the Harley Quinn arc within the TV series Arrow. Making a brief appearance within the promotion for season two, we never see the face of Harley Quinn, and it looks like viewers will never get to see her famous pigtails within the television series. Thea Queen, played by actress Willa Holland expressed that, “we had big plans for Harley. But, I guess something came down from DC execs that told us to shut it down“.

It appears that the DC Universe are looking to expand with Harley Quinn within the upcoming, much conversed about Suicide Squad, with Margot Robbie sporting the ARGUS outfit in David Ayer’s vision. With the recent success of Netflix’s Daredevil, it appears DC need some crossovers to compete with Marvels notions for The Defenders which include up to five Marvel characters. After all, they have plans for Legends of Tomorrow with The Flash, yet it appears they’ve had to alter plans thanks to film crossovers. But why couldn’t we have different variations on the character to be shared within the DC multiverses?
