Avril Lavigne Makes Triumphant Stage Return After Battle With Lyme Disease | Music News

 

It has been over a year since Canadian pop star, Avril Lavigne, last performed on stage. The 30-year old singer revealed recently that she has been battling Lyme Disease after being diagnosed last October. But the “Complicated” singer returned to the stage last Saturday night to sing at the Opening Ceremony of the Special Olympic World Games. Lavigne later posted on Instagram that she was grateful to perform her new single “Fly”, “It has been a difficult year fighting through Lyme Disease for me and I am so happy to have made it on stage tonight for the first performance in a year“.
