It was only just last week that American record producer Baauer, UK’s very own AJ Tracey & Jae Stephens premiered their new Summer hit “3AM” and now, rather soon, we have been treated to a brand new video to match.
On the track we see AJ Tracey and Jae Stephens take Baauer’s beat for a night ride: a moody, smokey rhythm with echoes of grime and classic R&B. The official video directed by Peter Marsden, features Tracey and Stephens ride a 1960’s yellow cab through New York via the old Hollywood trick of rolling backdrop projections and lighting.
This is Baauer’s first single since his acclaimed debut album Aa surprised critics back in 2016, proving once and for all there was more to Harrison Rodrigues than his virality of “Harlem Shake“. For the last four years, his song “One Touch” with AlunaGeorge and Rae Sremmurd has since overshadowed “Harlem Shake”.
With production work for JAY Z, A$AP Rocky, Future & Pusha T he’s put cynicism to rest on his capabilities as very talented and versatile producer.
