BBC 1Xtra’s Sarah Jane Crawford has been announced as the new The Xtra Factor presenter on ITV2 taking over from Caroline Flack. The DJ/Presenter confirmed the news via her twitter account saying, “really thrilled to say that I’ll be the new host of #XtraFactor this year!!!! Thanks to the X team for seeing something in me“. Caroline Flack had announced earlier on this week that she would be leaving the show, she is the longest-serving host on the Xtra Factor. Her co-hosts have included Pop singer Olly Murs and comedian Matt Richardson. Richardson has also lost his place on the show, and it is being rumored that Crawford may be a solo host. Spice Girl Mel B has joined the judging panel along with Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh. The new season of X Factor begins on ITV in September.
