On June 22, a program featuring Amy Winehouse was launched exclusively on BBC iPlayer. The program features Amy’s monologues and performances recorded on video throughout the years of this inspirational woman’s dazzling presence on the music and entertainment scene, exclusively by the BBC. However, most of this authentic footage was brought into the light – for the first time – via the Amy Winehouse in Her Own Words documentary produced by Sasha Duncan.

James Stirling, editor of BBC Music says about the documentary, “we’re honoured to pay a tribute to Amy with a programme featuring exclusive unseen and rare footage from her performances at the BBC. Amy wrote smart, sad, soulful and original pop songs that became instant classics and inspired a generation”.
