BBC Invites Fans To Create Their Own ‘Doctor Who’ Adventures | TV News

In the same week that Peter Capaldi hinted at his departure from the show, the BBC has opened up a competition for fans to create their own Doctor Who adventures.

Using a selection of video clips and images, as well as homemade film, Whovians will be able to direct short films following the Doctor and his companion in his on-going battle with the Daleks. The project provides help for young people to develop their digital film making skills, whilst the winners will have the opportunity to meet Capaldi himself, explore the Doctor’s iconic TARDIS, and go behind the scenes of the long running sci-fi show.

In other news, earlier this week, English actor Hayley Atwell announced her interest in taking the title role on twitter, to massive fan support. The new series of Doctor Who will premier on BBC One on September, 19.
