Belgian Alt-R&B Duo Link Up With Louis VI For ‘The Ballad’ | Music News

With the release of their new project on the horizon, Belgium double act YellowStraps wet the appetites of fans with their final single “The Ballad” with guitarist Rudi Creswick and rapper/producer Louis VI.

A beautifully buoyant bassline sets the tone for “The Ballad” to bloom into a breezy, feel good number that it is meant to be, complete with a string section. North London-hailing Louis VI uses his guest spot to story-tell a romantic encounter on a night out, reaffirmed by the good will emphasised in the chorus.

Providing fans with consistent new music for weeks, “The Ballad” sets the tone for the highly anticipated Yellockdown Project, set to drop this October. With this project, the brothers would be releasing a new track per week, every week, featuring a different artist and all written in 24 hours.

Continual support from a loyal global fanbase that has helped rack up millions of streams, it is clear that ‘Yellockdown’ season truly upon us and the boys look set to continue their European takeover.
