Benny The Butcher has teamed up with Harry Fraud to release his new single titled “Thanksgiving”, a song as dark and vivid as what we would expect from the Buffalo emcee. “Thanksgiving” is the lead single from their upcoming EP The Plugs I Met 2, which was initially announced in January.
Benny said he recorded this sequel to his 2019 The Plugs I Met at the same time as Burden Of Proof, the 12-track masterpiece he released last October with the likes of Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Big Sean, Freddie Gibbs, Dom Kennedy, Queen Naija, and his Griselda compatriots Westside Gunn and Conway The Machine.
The project was one of Benny’s most successful release and hit the top 30 of the Billboard album chart during its first week.
“I recorded both projects at the same time, so it’s the same headspace; but a different energy. I recorded Burden Of Proof in Cali with Hit-Boy and The Plugs I Met 2 in Brooklyn with Harry and you can hear that influence”, he explained.
The project features guest spots from 2 Chainz, Fat Joe, Jim Jones, French Montana, the late Chinx, Fat Joe and Rick Hyde and is set to be released on March 19.
