Best Dressed Artists At This Year’s MTV Video Music Awards | Fashion News

This year’s MTV Video Music Awards was different from usual, because of the pandemic and the social-distancing guidelines, the red carpet was not characterised by the typical audience and media waiting for the artists to walk down. Despite that, the artists were able to pull off a colourful fashion show wearing different and bizarre designs.

First, as always, Lady Gaga showed her extravagance with different outfits, among others, one big silver dress completed with a full-head transparent face mask and black high heels boots, one rainbow shredded gown accompanied by an eccentric hot pink mask and a third look characterised by a shiny green dress, with the mask with two horns in the sides as the main highlight.

Following, we saw a bold Miley Cyrus with a semi see through strapless long black dress, a Mugler number with mirror embellishments, accompanied by strappy sandal heels and a simple red lipstick. Speaking of transparent dresses, Bella Hadid pulled off a ‘90s loose black pants with a see through black tulle top with long sleeves.

To give some color to the red carpet, Machine Gun Kelly probably wore one of the best dresses of the night. The young man pulled off a hot pink two pieces suit, with a pearls necklace.

He was stunning, but he was not the only one to bring color to the show, as actress Joey King mixed simple and chic wearing a red and green floral Versace piece with red heels.

Sofia Carson also pulled off some color, with her bright red Giambattista Valli dress with ruffled details, accessorised with a gorgeous diamond ring and Vhernier earrings.

Nicole Richie decided to wear a lime green mini dress with a long train, inspired by Quibi show character Nikki Fre$h and by her upcoming socially conscious album, which is about “organic vegetables”.

While everybody opted for an elegant look, rapper DABABY decided to stay more casual, wearing a Dolce and Gabbana cap, a Supreme jacket and Louis Vuitton shorts.

Taylor Swift also showed up with a casual look, a buttoned light-blue shirt accompanied by a messy but cool hairstyle, but only because she gave her speech from a remote location, on video. Last but not least, this year’s host, Keke Palmer pulled off different outfits, but the feathery dress was the piece we appreciated the most.

Every year the VMAs gives its artists the opportunity to be creative and original, giving us the chance to see unique pieces walking down the red carpet.
