The 39th annual BRIT Awards took place Wednesday night in London. The ceremony was presented by Jack Whitehall at the O2 Arena.
One of the major talking points was Calvin Harris. It took him 14 unsuccessful nominations, but the DJ has finally bagged himself a BRIT award for British Producer of the Year. The curse has finally passed.
The 1975 won the most prestigious award of the night. Their massive 2018 album A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships won British Album of the Year. They also won British Group, which they previously won in 2017.
For their collaborative project, Beyonce and Jay-Z won the award for Best International Group. Upon accepting the awards, they made an emphatic statement about Meghan Markle, in support of The Duchess. The press could not wait to talk about the moment and analyse what they said.
In regards to the Red Carpet, model Winnie Harlow and actress Suki Waterhouse both chose Lebanese designers Rami Kadi and Elie Saab. Dua Lipa wore a Christopher Kane dress.
