Black Lips today release the captivating video for “Crystal Night” from their new album titled Satan’s Graffiti or God’s Art?, which was released earlier this year via Vice Records.
The video directed by Bryan Bankovich shows a night out going slowly wrong. As the band perform, we see a couple enjoying the dance, before their attempts at spicing up the night lead to their ultimate demise. All the characters starring into the video are very bizarre. The atmosphere is a mix of vintage glamour and madness.
“Crystal Night” is a fuzzy, dirty rock n’ roll song with a Vintage charm. Talking about the track the frontman Cole Alexander explains: “The song ‘Crystal Night’ was written as a fictional account of the forbidden love of a Gentile and a Jew during Nazi Germany. This song was our attempt at saying love will always trump hate.”
Black Lips will be on the road for a massive European tour this year, make sure to see them live. While you are waiting to see them live, you can watch the “Crystal Night” video below:
