Blair Underwood, French Montana & Teyana Taylor Head To Netflix Comedy ‘The After Party’ | Film News
Teyana Taylor, Blair Underwood, and musician French Montana are the latest stars to join Netflix comedy The After Party. Fellow recording artists Wiz Khalifa and Kyle Harvey, as well as Jordan Rock, Harrison Holzer (Sex Tape) and Shelley Hennig (Teen Wolf) are also said to be starring in the film from Def Pictures, WorldStar Hip Hop, Hunting Lane Films and Live Nation Productions.
Ian Edelman (How to Make It in America) directs the film from his own screenplay. The film follows two friends on a wild night out, desperate to seal a record deal before they part ways for college and the military. Michael Rapino, Katie McNeill and Jonathan Montepare serve as executive producers.
The project was inspired by classic coming-of-age films Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and American Graffiti.
Filming is currently underway in New York.
