Brandon Flowers – Don’t Change (INXS Cover) | New Music

During a solo gig at the Troubador in Los Angeles earlier this week, Brandon Flowers covered INXS‘ “Don’t Change” – an un-usual venture for the indie rocker. Flowers’ solo album The Desired Effect will be released on May 18 and will feature appearances from Haim singer Danielle Haim, Pet Shop Boys’ Neil Tennant and long time band mate and The Killer’s drummer Ronnie Vannucci.

Flowers has also recently expressed his desire to be able to have his new songs played on the radio: “I want to be on the radio… I’ve never been ashamed to say that. I can’t believe where radio has gone. It seems to be such a weird world now. Where once I seemed to fit in, now I’m seen as a little different. I used to be considered mainstream, but now I’m almost avant-garde or art rock compared to what’s on the radio”. Watch fan-footage of Flowers’ version of “Don’t Change” here.
