Brian De Palma Retrospective To Air At Turin Film Festival | Film News

The 35th Turin Film Festival will play host to the first full Brian de Palma Retrospective, curated by festival director Emanuela Martini. It’ll feature not only the New Jerseyan director’s feature films – which include cult pics Carrie (1976), Scarface (1983), and The Untouchables (1987) – but also his short films.

The award adds to a collection de Palma’s amassed, including a Berlin Silver Bear for Greetings (1968), a Venice Silver Lion for Redacted (2007) and the Venice Glory to the Filmmaker Award (2015).

De Palma’s career is by no means over; he’s recently wrapped filming on Domino with Game of Thrones stars Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Carice van Houten, and is in pre-production on crime thriller Venice Beach.

The 35th Turin Film Festival takes place November 24 – December 2.
