Brian Tyree Henry In Talks To Join ‘A Quiet Place 2’ | Film News

Per Collider, Brian Tyree Henry is currently in talks to join A Quiet Place 2. Cillian Murphy has already joined the sequel as “a man with mysterious intentions who joins the family unit”, and also brings back Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe from the first film.

John Krasinski is also returning as writer and director. The first film grossed over $340 million worldwide on a pretty small budget. Plot details regarding the sequel are being kept close to the chest, and Henry’s role is unknown as of this time.

However, we do know that there are other families surviving in the post-apocalyptic world surrounded by sound-sensitive creatures, so maybe he’s the patriarch of another family struggling to stay alive.

Henry is coming off a tremendous year. He had roles in Widows, If Beale Street Could Talk, White Boy Rick, and a voice role in Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse. Plus he’s continued his stellar work on FX’s Atlanta.

He’s not slowing down this year either, with roles in the Child’s Play reboot, Todd PhillipsJoker, The Woman In The Window, and a starring role in comedy Super Intelligence all lined up. Phew!

We’ll wait for more news regarding his Quiet Place role. Paramount will release the sequel two months earlier than expected after shuffling some of their release dates. The film now hits cinemas March 20, 2020.
