Bristol Trio KOKO Shares New Single ‘So Nice To Meet You’ | Music News

So Nice To Meet You” is the latest Electro Pop single of Bristol-based trio KOKO and the second track of their upcoming EP All Together Now, due to be released later this fall.

KOKO is known for wild live performances, pumping basslines and pop bangers but also for sad songs and deep lyrics. Their debut EP and their electronica anthem “Freak” were highly critical acclaimed at the beginning of 2020.

Even though the band has its origin in Bristol their style differs from Bristol’s musician scene. “We believe we are quite different to most of our local contemporaries. That’s the great thing. We are all following our own paths but the support for one another is well and truly there” they state out about their relation to Bristol.

With sold-out shows in London they could cement their hype not only in the UK and had big plans for shows in Berlin as well. The pandemic affected KOKO in many ways as they weren’t able to play shows or have any studio sessions. Furthermore singer Oli was infected by Covid-19.

Now they’re returning with a new song and even could play their first live performance since the pandemic at Hamburg’s Reeperbahn Festival.

“So Nice To Meet You” comes with a deep reggaeton vibe that extends on their musical horizon. “It’s all about meeting someone for the first time and getting that excitement, the butterflies. It’s a feeling we’ve missed for a LONG time this year – so it’s definitely a song with a lot of optimism for the future” the band says about the motivation behind the song.
