British Artist Predz UK Unveils New Afro Dancehall Single ‘Misunderstood’

North West London artist and DJ, Predz UK, has released his newest single called “Misunderstood”. Celebrating greatness and the challenge of overcoming the stereotypes by pursuing your dream is what this single is about.

Growing up in a Congolese family, he started his first musical journey in his local church by drumming at the age of 11. He used to listen too carefully and try to find the pattern in his head and respond to other instruments there, he had to trust his instincts. He has been a hard working musician for so long with the hope of being able to give back to his community.

He is lucky to meet people with the same eye for music, Mennie is one of them who is Predz UK’s studio engineer. Rymez is another person who, according to Predz UK himself, has changed his life. Along with these people, he has experienced proud times when his first ever sold-out headline show at O2 academy happened in 2018.

With the emergence of YouTube as a vital tool in the industry, he started to write and record songs as much as possible, and he ended up creating several mixtapes. Predz says “I’d travel around the UK, starting off outside Oxford Circus, just selling my mixtapes on CD”.

He has gone through challenging phases in his artistic life where he couldn’t find a sound that can fully connect to. He finally found an afro-bashment sound that took him back to the days he played in the local church, alongside a Jamaican root.
