British Singer Jamie Myers Returns With Brand New Single ‘Shade’ | Music News

Last February, Jamie Myers released a single called “Midnight Marquee”, the first single from his upcoming EP. He is back in April with a brand new single from the EP titled “Shade”.

On the guitar tune, Jamie transports us with his raucous voice. It is a feel good song perfect to listen to while driving, which gradually changes from a darker side to a softer one, with music that mixes several universes. This single gives an exciting preview of the singer’s upcoming EP, which is due on April 30.

Myers is once again joined by producer Magnus Thomson and drummer Mikey Sorbello. There is also Max Dunn from Gang Of Youths on bass, Davey Horne on piano, and Max Walter on organ, and the result is a mix of worlds and rhythms.

For this song, the London-based singer was inspired by the feeling he got from the confinement that hit the country last year. “Everything was contradicted and twisted. I think of this song like that, all warped and disfigured whereas it’s probably the most structurally sound and basic song I’ve written,” he said.

Unlike his previous single “Midnight Marquee”, “Shade” is a self-deprecating and destructive story of Jamie himself. The opposite of a love letter.
