Grammy-award winner Burna Boy has presented a beautiful music video for his song “23“, where the rap artist pays homage to Michael Jordan.


Burna Boy is a Nigerian artist currently one of the most successful African artists. He rose to prominence in 2012 with his debut studio album L.I.F.E featuring guest artists like M.I., Timaya, Olamide, Reminisce and Wizkid.


Nigeria Entertainment Today ranked the album 10th on its list of the 12th Best Albums of 2013. Throughout the years, his following works and projects have become more and more successful and the popularity of the artist has been growing.


The afrofusion artist has collaborated with such artists as Ed Sheeran, Stormzy, Beyoncé, Jorja Smith, Sia, Stefflon Don, Sauti Sol, Chris Martin,Damian Marley, Dave and Angelique Kidjo


Burna Boy’s latest fifth studio album Twice As Tall recently won the ‘Best World Music Album’ at this year’s Grammy Awards, making him the first Nigerian with back-to-back nominations at the Grammys. Burna’s victory moment appears in the “23” music video.


“23” is one of the tracks from his Grammy Award-winning album. It serves as a tribute to Michael Jordan and the number he wore on his jersey while playing for Chicago Bulls.


In his the song Burna Boy sings, “The music make me feel like B Jordan, Now I understand why they say there’s enough space“, proclaiming that he can go out and reach the highest point as possible and highlighting that there is enough room for everyone to become successful.
