Indie-pop singer Caitlyn Scarlett has released her new single titled “Happy When” which is produced by Fred Cox, who has previously worked with the likes of Rag N Bone Man, Anne-Marie and Raye.
The Line of Best Fit described the rising star as “being on the verge of something big”, and Scarlett has plans of releasing her forthcoming EP Red Tape, Vol 2 in 2018.
Self taught guitarist and pianist Scarlett, who is from the small village Bray, says this about her new song:
“Living in a world where pop culture, media and advertisers encourage us daily to feel insufficient and unattractive, combined with the multidimensional meat-market of the dating scene today, Happy When is the study and confession of a compulsion I think most can relate to”.
“Finding romance, companionship and purpose in the arms of another is a goal most of us keep in our hearts, but a mentality I recently find myself questioning in my early twenties as I realise the importance of a good relationship with oneself first”.
