The new single from indie Pop duo Camel Power Club titled “Sankara” is named after the former president of Burkina Faso Thomas Sankara, who was often described as “Africa’s Che Guevera“. With lyrics like, “I’ve seen our future in a dream, Guided through the ancients gates, I have no proof for anything, But God will leave us to our fate”, you can tell why this pays tribute to Sankara.

About the duo, they have already amassed over 3 million streams online, and garnered support from Phil Taggart on BBC Radio 1 and Jason Kramer on KCRW among others. Out today on iTunes and everywhere else, you can listen to “Sankara” below and purchase it here while you’re at it.
