From touring with Bruno Mars to releasing the highly successful debut album Camila, last year was really big for former Fifth Harmony member, Cuban-American singer Camila Cabello. Now she’s sharing the official video for the album’s latest single “Never Be The Same“.
Since release, this track has already hit over 180 million streams on Spotify. Directed by LA filmmaker Grant Singer, the new visuals aren’t the first one for the song – Camila has previously shared a mix of footage, featuring the shots from her daily life, concerts, as well as the videos from her fans singing along.
The director, who has already became one of the most wanted in pop music industry, is the person behind Lorde‘s “Green Light“, The Weeknd‘s “Starboy” and Troye Sivan‘s “My My My” visuals, just to name a few.
The new Camila’s video doesn’t seem to have any particular meaning in the plot, but for the fans it’s a real feast for eyes – the singer is in the center of every shot, alluringly posing in various fashionable dresses. The modern high quality shots are mixed with a homemade-like retro style footage, where she’s flirting with a camera wearing a robe in a hotel room.
