Cardi B Calls Off Concert In Indianapolis Due To Security Concerns | Music News

Everything was ready, fans were excited, the stage was on point… but things didn’t go as planned, at all. Cardi B was scheduled to perform last Tuesday night at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, but the concert was cancelled less than an hour before showtime due to a “security threat”.

Fans left the stadium confused and angry after reading the news on Twitter, announced first by the Indianapolis Police Department and then by Cardi B herself. Police’s statement emphasised the threat was “unverified” and the investigation was “ongoing”.

“Dear Indiana people I’m so sorry for today .I will like to let you know I was at the venue I was even rehearsing a new move I been excited to do on my show. Unfortunately there was a security threat that is currently under investigation right now. My safety and your safety first”, Cardi B tweeted as an apology to all her fans who had been waiting for the concert to start.

The Bankers Life Fieldhouse also shared the news in a tweet a few minutes before 7 p.m., when the concert was due to start, saying the performance had been cancelled and it had been rescheduled for September 11.

However, even though all the tickets for the original date will be accepted for the new one, many ticketholders were still disappointed after reading the announcement and took to social media to give their opinion about the unexpected turn of events.

The Indianapolis concert was supposed to be her next to last show of the mini-tour Cardi B was doing between her festival dates’ performances. Her last 2019’s stop will be on October 6 at Zilker Park in Austin, Texas.
