Christopher Nolan’s WWII Drama ‘Dunkirk’ May Cast Unknown Actor In A Lead Role | Film News

Weather its’ DiCaprio, McConaughey or Hardy in his movies, Christopher Nolan‘s casting choices have always been go big or go home, now with possible his most ambitious project to date gearing up to start production, the seasoned director looks to break tradition by casting an almost unknown actor in a lead role.

 

The actor in question is Fionn Whitehead, a young up and comer who’s only acting credit to date is on ITV’S three part mini drama him. If he’s cast it will be a trial by fire for the young actor as some of his cast members would include Tom Hardy, Mark Rylance and Kenneth Brannagh.

 

Dunkirk focuses on the project Dynamo evacuation of Dunkirk, a military operation that saved the lives of 330,000 allied troop’s at the beginning of world war II.
