Christopher Shannon Showcases ‘Trashy’ Autumn/Winter 2015 Collection | Fashion News

Aspiring fashion designer Christopher Shannon sent his models out on the catwalk of London Collections: Men brandishing slogans across their chest and carrier bags over their heads. I’m not talking about designers ones either. The Liverpudlian designer’s clothes were current and edgy but what really caught the audience’s eye were the sentiments behind the trashy headgear. Statements such as “broke”, “broken,” “save me” and “thanks 4 nothing,” were ones which could be perceived as being the raised fist of our time. A generation of men struggling to survive and being buried in their own waste perhaps? Black Friday may have passed but these models looked like they’ve only just emerged from it. Shannon, who has recently graduated with an MA in Menswear from the prestigious Central Saint Martins, looks to be one designer to look out for. We wish him the best during his endeavours in 2015.
