City Calm Down have shared their new single “Flight” from their upcoming album TELEVISION, which will be out on August 23 via I Oh You. This new offering follows recent singles “Stuck (On The Eastern)” and “Television”, which will also be included in their LP as well.
The Australian four-piece band debuted back in 2015 with their album In a Restless House, going straight up to number 25 on the ARIA Charts and landing on the Triple J Hottest 100 for 2015 with “Rabbit Run”.
One album and one EP later, City Calm Down has earned over 12 million streams on Spotify with their remarkably original, creative, vital beats. Being pretty hard to label, we could say their sound may be identified as something between an alternative, pop and electronic blending that turns into an amazing set of hits like ‘Flight’
However, the upcoming album seems to be bringing new style, especially this latest single. “Flight” still sounds like City Calm Down, as they have kept their essence, but this time they have included a touch of rock&roll vibes and the result speaks for itself.
