Daft Punk Win ‘Song Of The Year’ At BMI Awards 2014 | Music News

Looks like Daft Punk have gotten very lucky at the BMI Music Awards, being honoured with the Song of the Year Award for their hit song “Get Lucky”. The robotic duo accepted the award with co-writers Pharrell Williams and Nile Rogers. This is not the only award they received as they were also recently the winners of the Top Dance/Electronic Album at the Billboard Music Awards, Best International Group at the BRIT Awards earlier this year, and Album of the Year, Best Dance/Electronica Album, Best Pop duo/Group Performance and Record of the Year at the Grammy Awards. With Random Access Memories being the first album Daft Punk has released since Discovery in 2001, they truly have struck gold on their return to music! Lets just hope it isn’t another 12 years till we hear from the robots again.
