Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter Records Song For Gaspar Noe’s ‘Climax’ | Music News

Thomas Bangalter, who forms one half of the iconic French duo Daft Punk, wrote an original song for Climax, the upcoming horror film from Argentinian director Gaspar Noé. This collaboration marks the third time they have teamed up for the big screen, after working together on Noé’s 2002 drama Irreversible and 2009 psychedelic thriller Enter the Void.

Bangalter’s new electronic track, titled “Sangria“, is set to appear in the flick alongside Bangalter’s previously released tune “What to Do” and Daft Punk classic “Rollin’ and Scratchin“.

The film, which recently made its debut at Cannes to mostly positive reviews, stars Kingsman‘s and The Mummy‘s actress Sofia Boutella, alongside Romain Guillermic, Souheila Yacoub, Smile Kiddy, and Claude Gajan Maull.

Ahead of its release next fall, check out the trailer below, involving a dance party that devolves into chaos.
