The coup of landing our Prime Minister as his guest has failed to end the slump in ratings when it comes to Robert Peston’s new Sunday Morning ITV show as its audience fell by almost a quarter this last Sunday.

The third episode of Peston on Sunday failed to defeat the dominant Andrew Marr Show, drawing in 230,000 viewers down on the previous episodes 302,000 who tuned in the previous week but up on the 166,000 who watched the shows debut.

Viewing was partially hit by the return of Nicky Campbell’s Big Question, which drew 700,000 viewers.
